AKB GRAND TURF - Rules, Regulations & Privacy Policy

DO’s

• Only regular sports shoes with rubber soles are allowed.
• Clean all footwear before getting onto the AKB Turf.
• Children under the age of 8 must be supervised by an adult.
• Guests must stay within their booked area at all times.
• Report any dirt, debris or damage to staff immediately.
• Wear all necessary protective gear while playing any sport.

DON’Ts

• Sports shoes with studs or spikes of any kind are not allowed on the AKB Turf.
• Guests are not allowed to hang, hold or rest on the nets.
• Guests must not use the facility in the absence of proper lighting.
• Spitting will not be tolerated in or around the premises.
• Smoking or chewing gum is not permitted in the premises.
• Glass containers are not permitted in the premises.
• Consumption of food or liquids other than water is not allowed in or around the play area.
• No littering. Please ensure all rubbish is disposed in the bins provided.
• Before leaving the premises, please return all equipment provided by us.

NOTE: Any damage to the facility will incur charges. We reserve the right to refuse entry and remove guests who break any of the above rules. Anyone hiring the AKB Turf facility must adhere to these standard rules and regulations of use.

Football Rules

The Basics

• Games consist of two 15-25 minute halves. Extra time will only be awarded due to a stop in play for injury.
• Each team consists of 4 to 6 players.
• From each team, 4 players plus a goalkeeper may be on the field at once, with upto 3 players who may substitute in.
• There is no offside.
• No tackling a player from behind. No bicycle or scissor kicks allowed. This results in a free kick.
• No slide tackling, sliding for interception, or any form of sliding will be permitted.
• No two-on-one tackles.

Goalkeeper

• Goalkeepers may not pick the ball up from a direct back pass. An intentional direct back pass to keeper will result in a penalty spot kick.
• Goalkeepers may pick up a back pass if it rebounds off the side wall (excludes back wall), or if it bounces off the head or chest of a teammate.
• Goalkeepers may only handle the ball in the demarcated half circle goal box.
• The goalkeeper may slide anywhere within this designated box.
• The goalkeeper may not drag the ball from outside this box back in and pick it up.
• The goalkeeper may score a goal from the penalty box, provided the ball was played on the ground. No throw-in goals are allowed.

Open Play

• A player in possession may not carry the ball backwards for more than two steps in an attempt to win a free kick from a 'challenge' from behind.
• Players may not hold on to the nets or the side boards/wall that surround the pitch.

The Corners

• If a player carries the ball into the corner circle, opponents may not tackle that player. The player has 5 seconds before they must leave the corner circle or pass the ball.
• Upon leaving the corner circle, a player cannot return until another player has touched the ball.
• If the player remains in the corner circle for longer than 5 seconds, possession of the ball will be reversed.

Out Of Play

• If the ball is kicked out on the long sides of the pitch, the opposition continues to play from where the ball went out.
• If the ball is kicked out on the short sides of the pitch, a corner or goal kick is awarded.

Penalties

• No run up is allowed when taking penalties and the standing foot must be grounded at all times.
• The goalkeeper is not allowed to move from the goal line until the penalty taker has kicked the ball.

Free Kicks

• Opposition player/s must stay at least 2m away from the ball. Only a one-man wall will be allowed.
• A player taking the free kick has 5 seconds or the play will be reversed.
• A player may shoot for goal directly.
• A player cannot pass the ball to himself. He must pass to a teammate.
• A player cannot use the net to pass the ball to himself off a free kick.

Box Cricket Rules

• Each team shall comprise of six players.
• The match shall be six overs an inning and only one inning each. Approximate time per match is 45 minutes.
• Sports shoes with rubber soles are a must. No studs or spikes are allowed.
• The ball used in indoor cricket is a modified yellow cricket ball, with a softer center. Soft or heavy tennis/cricket balls may also be used.
• Traditional outdoor cricket bats or more specialized lighter-weight indoor cricket bats may be used.
• It is suggested that all protective gear such as pads, helmet, gloves, guards etc. are used while playing.
• Each player must compulsorily bowl one over.
• A team will have to bat the full quota of six overs even if they over haul opponent's score.
• The opening batting pair shall bat for the first two overs, then be replaced by the next pair.
• Bonus run zones: side netting = +1 run (crease to halfway), +2 runs (halfway to corner), front net = +4 if bounced, +6 if full.
• No bonus run if the ball hits the roof netting.
• A catch off any net = out & -3 runs (except front net six rule).
• Running between wickets is only half pitch (to halfway crease).
• No LBW rules apply.
• Dismissal = -3 runs but batsman continues to bat.
• Max 3 players (incl. bowler) allowed beyond the two-run zone.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

We do not allow refunds but in the event that you wish to cancel your booking for any reason, we shall provide one free rescheduling to another vacant slot. Please note that to avail of this rescheduling, you must inform us at least 48 hours before the time of the booking.

AKB GRAND TURF Facility Usage Conditions

Please respect timings. You are expected to leave the pitch on time after you complete your game & arrive at least 15 minutes before any time given to you for pay & play, leagues, tournaments, coaching fitness or any special events.

Footwear: Players are required to wear appropriate footwear. This includes molded, rubber soles and trainers. Blades, metal spikes or screw-on studs are not permitted.

We have a zero tolerance policy on abusive behaviour of any kind towards our staff. If any customer abuses our staff we will cancel that booking with immediate effect. If one player abuses our staff we will take away the group booking.

All cricket and football equipment is available at site. Please take care when using any of our equipment as you may be asked to replace any damaged goods or property.

AKB GRAND TURF reserves the right to cancel a booking/bookings at its discretion. However, in the event of cancellation for reasons not related to the client, all money paid would be returned or an alternative date will be offered.

Force Majeure: In the event of a war, civil unrest, flood, adverse weather or any other event outside our control which forces closure, AKB GRAND TURF shall not be held liable and will return all money to the client should the booking not take place.

Pay & Play Terms & Conditions

All users need to be registered before start of play & will need to sign a consent form accepting our terms & conditions. There are no refunds, but you can reschedule your booking to another vacant slot (only once).

We encourage players to arrive early as entry will not be permitted after the first 15 minutes of your allotted time slot. AKB GRAND TURF reserves the right to give away your booking in case there is no one at the site 15 minutes after the start of your allotted time.

Timing - Each Booking is for a minimum of 60 minutes. Please respect the booking in progress before yours and wait until their session finishes before entering the pitch.

Privacy Policy

We value the privacy of our users and take our best initiative to protect it. The privacy of the information you disclose to us is governed by this Privacy Policy. By using our services you are deemed to have agreed.

Information Collection And Use: We may ask you for certain personally identifiable information such as your email address.

Communications: We may use your information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials.

Cookies: We use cookies to collect information. You can refuse cookies, but some parts of the site may not work properly.

Security: While we strive to protect your data, no method is 100% secure. We use commercially acceptable means but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes: We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy without notice. We expect users to review periodically. If you disagree, you may discontinue services anytime.
